Beyond Adobe will make any size, shape, or form of adobe brick you want, and is also creating custom colored bricks from specified dirt or special shaped adobes to meet architectural demands. They will use either pressed adobe, puddled adobe, or site made, based on the client and circumstances.

Block - Pressed adobe blocks, sometimes known as compressed adobe bricks or Earth blocks, are made employing a mix of present day technology and traditional earth building knowledge. Enhanced by utilizing hydraulic presses and machine automation, the bricks emerge almost completely dry and prepared for building. Pressed adobes provide significant increases in strength, in the compression and modulus of rupture, providing for quicker and more efficient installation because of their uniformity of shape and size. The hydraulic force increases soil density, which raises the bricks' thermal mass ratings. Pressed adobes can be created in most seasons as a result of reduced moisture content.

Handmade, or puddled, adobe bricks begin when a simple mixture of earth and water is mixed to a near mud consistency. A combination will then be laid in forms on a lawn to mold the mud in to the desired brick configuration. The shape is lifted from the adobe once the mud dries enough to help keep the adobes shape minus the form. After having a few days regarding, the bricks are positioned on edge to dry. The drying process can take from to a month to completely cure according to weather conditions. Puddled adobes bring about bricks having a more individual shape, size and appearance; no two bricks can be the identical. They offer to get a unique and pleasing aesthetic when left exposed inside a finished wall.

Site made adobe bricks vary widely. For rural sites and those with difficult access, site made adobes often work most effectively for logistics and shipping costs. Beyond Adobe makes bricks from the borderlands of Mexico to the farm country of Montana.
