Beyond Adobe maintains adobe production yards in Camp Verde, Arizona and Deming, New Mexico. They regularly work throughout the American West utilizing local soils for on-site adobe production, for both urban and rural projects. They enjoy dealing with individuals and communities alike to produce, preserve and restore earth buildings. To make sure inside the Shape

Beyond Adobe is likely to make any size, shape, or type of adobe brick you want, and it is able to make custom colored bricks from specified dirt or special shaped adobes to fulfill architectural demands. They will use either pressed adobe, puddled adobe, or site made, with respect to the client and circumstances.

Block - Pressed adobe blocks, commonly known as as compressed adobe bricks or Earth blocks, are manufactured employing a mix of present day technology and traditional earth building knowledge. Enhanced by making use of hydraulic presses and machine automation, the bricks emerge almost totally dry and prepared for building. Pressed adobes provide significant increases in strength, both in compression and modulus of rupture, providing for quicker plus more efficient installation because of their uniformity of size and shape. The hydraulic force increases soil density, which boosts the bricks' thermal mass ratings. Pressed adobes can be created in all seasons due to the reduced moisture content.

Handmade, or puddled, adobe bricks begin whenever a simple combination of earth and water is mixed with a near mud consistency. The mix will be laid in forms on the ground to mold the mud to the desired brick size and shape. The shape is lifted off of the adobe once the mud dries enough to keep the adobes shape minus the form. After a couple of days of sunshine, the bricks are set on edge to dry. The drying process will take from to one month to completely cure based on weather conditions. Puddled adobes lead to bricks with a more individual shape, size and look; no two bricks are quite the identical. They supply for any unique and pleasing aesthetic when left exposed in a finished wall.

Site made adobe bricks vary widely. For rural sites and people with difficult access, site made adobes often work best for logistics and shipping costs. Beyond Adobe has created bricks from the borderlands of Mexico to the farm country of Montana.
